Love. 4 letters. One syllable. This word can mean so many different things. And we are still trying to figure out the enormity of that one word.

There are many different ways that we can express that feeling to someone. It doesn't have to be romantic love, it can be towards anyone with whom we share a special bond.

Gary Chapman wrote a book about different ways to give (and receive) love. He calls them love languages and he identified 5:

1) Words of affirmation - verbal acknowledgements of affections, compliments, words of appreciation, verbal encouragement (these can also be done via texting and social media)

2) Quality time - spend time with someone, active listening, eye contact, full presence

3) Acts of service - go out of your way to make someone else's life easier

4) Gifts - visuak symbols of love; the whole gift-giving process: the carefeul reflection, the deliberate choosing of the object, the emotional benefits from receiving the gift

5) Physical touch - hugging, pat on the back, holding someone's hand

Maybe find different ways to show how much you care about someone, try something new!

Love is special and it should be celebrated.

Peace and love,

Michelle
