Knowing the path to take gives us certainty. When we travel somewhere, it is easier to just turn around and take the same route back in reverse. But what happens when we have to take a new way? It can be scary; we can't be sure that we will even make it back.
The wise guys had to take a different way back home after visiting Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. I know that they were scared. They had already travelled so far and they knew the dangers that they would face. They probably had friends they wanted to see again and people they knew would give them a safe place to stay. But that way would no longer be safe for them or for those they had travelled to see.
PIVOT!
It can be hard to make that change; to pivot and figure out the new path to take. It might not be easy, it might not be comfortable, it might be longer, but it will take us to where we need to go.
PIVOT!
I had hoped to start in-person Sunday School again but we are still figuring things out.
PIVOT!
We want to be safe and we want to keep others safe. We will be together again and we will have fun again. It might take us a bit longer, it might look different, it might not be exactly the same, but we will get to where we need to be.
Here is a short activity for Epiphany.
Peace and love,
Michelle
