Sunday School

We are a very child friendly church; children and youth are an important part of our church family. Children are welcome during all parts of Sunday worship. Each service has a Children’s Time when children are invited up to the Sunday School Quilt to have a chat with Tricia and Michelle. Following Conversation Time, Michelle leads the way to Sunday school.

NURSERY – AGES 0 TO 3

Infants and toddlers are welcome during all parts of Sunday morning service, we are very child friendly. Two gliders are located at the back of the sanctuary for rocking or nursing. Toddlers who are interested in Sunday School are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.

Getting to church is not always easy for families with young children, so we are always looking for ways to connect outside of Sunday morning. Families with young children have gathered on winter evenings and springtime afternoons, we have had coffee playdates and met for picnics at the nearby splash-pad. SUNDAY SCHOOL – AGES 3 TO 12

We love to have fun at Sunday School! Singing, crafting, games and more! Our weekly activities are designed to connect with different learning styles. Activities range from crafts and games to baking and science experiments. 

Michelle plans and leads Sunday School, assisted by volunteers from the congregation. Sunday School begins about 15 – 20 minutes into the Worship service. Sunday School is offered most Sundays from September through May. When there is no formal Sunday School a “Whisper Table” is provided at the back of the sanctuary. It is stocked with a variety of crafting materials and is supervised by parents.

Sunset United - Pandemic response - updated April 2023

Sunset has determined, along with the majority of other entities, that we no longer require restrictions for Covid-19.

As always, we are committed to offering a safe and healthy environment for all who come into our building. We trust that everyone will continue to use their own best judgement regarding being in public spaces when they are not well.

Sunset moved to a hybrid worship model during the pandemic and continue to provide that option for worship.  We welcome attendance in-person, however, if you are more comfortable, you are also invited to watch the livestream on Sunday mornings or the recording at any time after that! Worship will start every Sunday morning at 10:30 am on YouTube (Sunset United YouTube channel).  After the premiere, the recording is accessible any time you want!

What is Tri-Church?

It is an intentional gathered community of three United churches in Regina over the summer months. We want to create a larger community which will lead to more joint ventures and more connections between the different churches in our area.

Who was involved in Tri-Church in 2022?

The four churches involved in 2022 were: Sunset United, Wesley United, and Lakeview United.

Who will be involved in Tri-Church in 2023?

The churches that are involved in 2023 are Sunset United, Wesley United, and Lakeview United.

Why Tri-Church?

This community allows for shared services over the summer months. It will give us a chance to experience different worship styles, explore different "church" spaces, and allow our staff to have a break.

How does Tri-Church work?

The summer (starting mid-June up to and including the September long weekend) is divided into three sections and each church hosts 4 services. All congregations are invited to participate in worship over the summer: in-person or online, as you feel comfortable!

When and where does Tri-Church happen?

The schedule has been announced and is posted below. This year, we will have hybrid worship offered at all three churches. This means that you can participate in-person or online. The services will also be available for viewing on each church's YouTube channel, so you can watch whenever you wish if you are busy on Sunday mornings!

What about Pastoral Care?
